SB 1473 introduced to empower Arizona Advanced Practice Nurses

The APRN Coalition (of which SAZAPN/NPS is a member, along with other APRN role organizations) has submitted our APRN Consensus Model legistation and it has been given a bill number: SB 1473!  As soon as we a clean copy of the bill language we will share.

We are scheduled to have the bills 1st hearing by the Senate Health Committee on Wednesday, Feb 10th at 2pm at the State Capital in Phoenix. We need as many people as possible to show up in support at the hearing. This hearing should not last as long as the sunrise hearing but could be just as intense.

The Medical Association is still lobbying hard to defeat the bill, they have hired additional lobbyists and a PR firm just to defeat our legislation.

If the nursing profession continues to stand united we can win this battle!
