HB2068P 1 (71 KB)

Dear Nurse Practitioners,

As of last night, the bill to expand Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) practice and provide CNSs with prescriptive authority was dropped in the Arizona state legislature and given the title HB 2068!  The current bill is attached.

Please support your APRN colleagues and consider writing a letter of support for this important legislation.  And request that your provider colleagues do the same, especially if they work or have worked with a CNS.  An example letter is also attached.  Please send the letters to Denise Gibson at denice.gibson@gmail.com.

If you are not attending AZNA Advocacy Day on January 17, but are able to lobby at the state capital on January 29, 2019 for HB 2068, please email Denise and appointments will be made with your legislators.

The House Health Committee Hearing will be January 31.  Stay tuned for updates about whether we should attend or express support online, and how to do so.

Thanks and regards,

Paula Christianson-Silva
