Important Announcement

Dear Colleagues,

The devastating impact of COVID-19 has required that each of us make countless adjustments.  Unfortunately, our organization has required to make a few adjustments as well.  

First, as many of you know, Ashlyn Schaub has stepped down as President of our organization and as the Vice President, I will assume the role of President.  We need to fill the Vice President position, so if you are interested in running for office please email Laura Kennicutt at LauraKennicutt@gmail.comby September 18th, 2020. 

Second, we CANCELED our annual Primary Care Conference this coming November.  This was a very difficult decision, and hope you agree that was the safest option this year.

Third, pharmaceutical companies have not resumed live dinner programs yet, but some are in planning stages. We are in process of securing dates and venues for future meetings so we can return to in-person dinner programs.  

Fourth, our annual member Nurse Practitioner Awards scholarships are coming up!  Watch for an email by the end of the week regarding application criteria. 

I have huge shoes to fill as I follow in the steps of our great leaders:  Sharon Morgan, Paula Christianson-Silva, Shannon Fennie, Jody Agins, & most recently, Ashlyn.  With the examples they have set, I hope to learn a lot as I accept this tremendous responsibility.  With the support of our current board members, I know that with their help & guidance, we will continue to make The Southern AZ APN Society a wonderful organization.
