ASK YOUR LEGISLATORS TO VOTE NO ON APRN COMPACT BILL UNLESS AMENDED

The problematic APRN Compact bill Senate Bill 1334 is scheduled for a final committee hearing of this session in the House Regulatory Affairs committee on Wednesday, March 22. Now is the time to act!

Ongoing Concerns with the proposed APRN Compact:

An eligibility requirement of 2,080 hours in practice to obtain an APRN Compact license.
No guaranteed advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) representation among the compact administrators.

Ask The Legislature to Support Amendments to Senate Bill 1334!
The American Association of Nurse Practitioners®(AANP) and the Arizona Nurses Association propose a substitute for this bill which would:

Address local stakeholder concerns with the current proposed APRN Compact.
Expedite the Arizona APRN license process to strengthen nursing workforce recruitment.
Provide the nursing community and NCSBN time to improve a potential APRN Compact.
