2026 SAZAPN Scholarship Announcement

Dear SAZAPN Members,

The Southern Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse–Nurse Practitioner Society (SAZAPN/NPS) is pleased to announce the availability of $2,000 scholarships for eligible members. These scholarships are designed to support individuals who demonstrate academic excellence or a strong commitment to research, community service, practice-based initiatives, or work with special populations.

Scholarship funds may be applied toward educational expenses, a research study, a practice-based project, or a community service initiative.

Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Active, full membership in SAZAPN/NPS: https://tucsonnp.enpnetwork.com/

• Current RN licensure

• Completion of a master’s or doctoral degree, or current enrollment in an advanced practice degree program

• Residency in Pima County or Southern Arizona

• Submission of a completed scholarship application

Required Application Materials:

• A brief essay (250 words or fewer) describing your educational and professional goals and future plans, or outlining your proposed project. Please explain why you are a strong candidate for this award and include a budget or description of how the scholarship funds will be used.

• A current curriculum vitae or résumé

Scholarship recipients will be expected to present their project at a SAZAPN/NPS meeting or annual conference—either through a brief oral presentation or poster—within one year of project completion.

Recipients will be formally announced at the annual SAZAPN Conference.
